AGM 2017 Results
Grahame Nash
It is with great sadness that we report that Grahame Nash passed away on 13 March 2017.
Graham was first appointed to the Management Committee in 1986, when he was Depot Secretary at Bristol, and had a long and active association with the Society and its members. Throughout his time with the Enginemen’s he witnessed dramatic changes in the regulatory structure of financial services and helped steer the Society through the many challenges it encountered. Everything was tackled with effort, enthusiasm and commitment and he made a significant contribution to this Society over many years. In May 1998 Grahame was appointed as Chairman of the Society having already served as Deputy Chairman for a number of years. He retired from the Management Committee in June 2013.
Grahame was a Society man and served the membership with distinction over many years. He was a good friend to the Enginemen’s and his passing is a great loss.
Tim Reiffer
It is with great sadness that we report that Tim Reiffer passed away on 17th August 2016.
Tim was 61 and had been a staunch supporter of the Society over the many years he had been associated with us, as a member, Depot Introducer, Area Representative and friend. Tim had been battling with cancer for the past seven years and throughout that time he never showed any lack of spirit or determination. Appointed as our Depot Introducer at Cardiff in 1987, Tim was well-liked and respected amongst his colleagues throughout the rail network. More recently he was to be seen representing the Society at Virgin Trains Health and Wellbeing events.
Tim’s presence, contribution and humour will be greatly missed by his friends on the railways and his passing is a tragic loss to his family and a great loss to the Society.

New Managment Committee member
Moira Casey has been co-opted onto the Management Committee with effect from 25th April 2016. Moira is a qualified Actuary and brings significant experience of life and pensions office operations and Solvency II project work to the Society. Moira runs her own actuarial practice from her base in Winchester.
In accordance with the Society’s rules, Moira will be put forward for election by the members at the Annual General Meeting to be held in June 2016.
